Christmas on the River - December 3

Bring in the holiday cheer on December 3, 2010 with a signature holiday event put on by Snake River Landing and Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation.

The event kicks off in Historic Downtown from 3-5:30 p.m. Stroll the streets of our beautiful downtown while listening to Christmas Caroling from The Girl Scouts, hop on the free holiday trolley, watch the annual lighting of the downtown Christmas Trees at 5:15 p.m. and explore their unique shops during the Elf Treasure Hunt.

You can also enter your gingerbread house in the Gingerbread House Contest, for a chance to have your house featured in the Museum of Idaho! Sign up today!

Join in with other community members in the first annual Elf Fun Run 5k and 1 Mile Jingle Walk starting at Civitan Plaza and winding down the greenbelt and finally ending at the festivities at Snake River Landing. There will be prizes awarded for the best Holiday Costume and a raffle of other great prizes!

Events at Snake River Landing will go from 5:30-8 p.m. Participants can look forward to singing along to live holiday entertainment, free trolley rides, holiday activities, craft fair, and festive foods. Children will have the opportunity to ask for a wish from Santa himself at the Snake River Landing Discovery Center where families are encouraged to bring their own camera to capture the event!

Also, join in the Holiday Treat Throwdown to benefit the Military Affairs Committee. 100% of the holiday treat entry fees will go towards holiday packages to our local troops  serving overseas.
