The Region
Located in the heart of the historical Snake River Valley, Snake River Landing is close to some of the world’s most famous places. An afternoon drive takes you to Yellowstone National Park, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, or Sun Valley Idaho.
Yellowstone National Park was the first national park ever dedicated and is still one of the most visited each year. It is home to a large variety of wildlife and has some of the most amazing geysers and hot springs everseen. Jackson Hole offers authentic western boardwalks and breathtaking views of the famous Teton mountain range, while Sun Valley features incredible outdoor activities throughout the year and was home legends such as Gary Cooper and Ernest Hemingway.
Yellowstone National Park

America’s first national park is still a favorite after 135 years. With breath-taking landscapes, diverse wildlife, amazing geysers, and natural wonders, Yellowstone National Park is a symbol of everything wonderful about the American West.
Grand Teton National Park

Located in northwestern Wyoming, Grand Teton National Park preserves a spectacular landscape rich with majestic mountains, pristine lakes and extraordinary wildlife. The abrupt vertical rise of the jagged Teton Range contrasts with the horizontal sage-covered valley and glacial lakes at their base, creating world-renowned scenery that attracts nearly four million visitors per year.
Harriman State Park

Harriman State Park lies in the heart of a 16,000-acre wildlife reserve in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. This sanctuary protects a diversity of birds and mammals similar to those living in nearby Yellowstone National Park.
Henry’s Lake State Park

Located just 15 miles west of Yellowstone National Park, this high mountain lake is the kind of place fishermen dream about. The state park, named after explorer Major Andrew Henry, offers campfire and Junior Ranger program. Fishing for cutthroat, brook and rainbow-cutthroat hybrid trout and camping are available.

Caribou-Targhee National Forest

The Caribou-Targhee National Forest occupies over 3 million acres and stretches across southeastern Idaho, from the Montana, Utah, and Wyoming borders.
Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge

Bear Lake Refuge is located in southeast Idaho, surrounded by mountains, and is comprised mainly of a bulrush marsh, open water, and flooded meadows of sedges, rushes, and grasses. Portions of the refuge include scattered grasslands and brush-covered slopes.
Eastern Idaho State Fair

From its humble beginnings in 1902, the Eastern Idaho State Fair has grown to be a favorite attraction in southeast Idaho. Starting the first Saturday in September and running through the second Saturday, the fair offers concerts, motocross events, horse-racing, and an amazing carnival.
Grand Teton Music Festival

The newly renovated Walk Festival Hall in nearby Jackson, WY, is home to one of the Intermountain West’s most famous music venues. Running through much of July and August, the festival features orchestral, chamber music, and even jazz music. Highlight performances have been featured on American Public Media’s Performance Today.
Jackson Hole

From the breathtaking views and fine cuisine at the top of the Bridger Gondola, to shopping in the rustic Jackson city center, Jackson has it all. Jackson Hole offers entertainment, outdoor activities, and luxury, nestled in some of the most picturesque landscapes in the country.
Sun Valley Ketchum Resort
