Fourth of July in Idaho Falls

Celebrate Riverfest!

This Independence Day, have a fun family fourth at Riverfest at Snake River Landing, in partnership with Riverbend Communications radio stations KLCE 97, Z103, Kbear 101, The Hawk, Cannonball 101. Media coverage by EastIdahoNews.com.

It's Idaho Falls' place for fun in the sun on the 4th of July, 12pm-10pm at Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls. If you're there, you'll have the best view of the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration fireworks that start around 10pm!

Admission is free; some activities require payment. Feed the family with tons of food booths, enjoy live music from the event stage, bounce houses and other activities the Kids Zone, Iron Horse RV display, helicopter rides, demonstration areas, and more.

Additional Information

Please take note of the information below regarding reserving areas during the festivities.

Reserving or marking viewing areas for the purpose of obtaining a viewing location for the fireworks may not occur prior to 6 a.m. on July 4 on public property or at locations provided by Snake River Landing. To prevent damage to public property or property at Snake River Landing, it is important that items such as, but not limited to, blankets, tarps, and pop-up tents not be placed on the lawn prior to 6 a.m. on July 4.

Any items placed prior to 6 a.m. on July 4 at city parks, River Walk or Snake River Landing will be removed and placed in designated lost and found locations.

To retrieve any lost items, contact Snake River Landing at (208) 557-5300 during regular business hours. The office will be closed on July 4, but will reopen on July 5.

Items placed on public or private property (including the viewing areas provided by Snake River Landing) to designate a reservation are left at the owner’s risk and do not create a guarantee that the reserved area will remain available to the person or persons who reserved the area.

All personal belongings brought to event sites on public property or the viewing areas provided by Snake River Landing must be removed by midnight on July 4.

Do not drive stakes into the ground on public or private property at Snake River Landing as they may damage sprinkler heads, pipes or other infrastructure on public property or on viewing locations provided by Snake River Landing.

Do not mark off sidewalks, grass and roadways with defacing material such as any type of paint or adhesive material such as duct tape.

Pop up canopies and tents that may obstruct views must be lowered at sundown prior to the launch of the fireworks at Snake River Landing.

Do not block or interfere with pedestrian access or vehicular traffic or block sidewalks to reserve public areas or viewing areas provided by Snake River Landing.

Overnight RV Parking is limited to RVs from 8:00am on July 3rd, 2024 until 12:00pm on July 5th, 2024. Please arrive no earlier than 8:00am on July 3rd to park.

No RV services are provided (no power, water or sewer hook-ups available). Units must be self-contained. All items brought into the area must leave with you upon departure, including garbage. There will be portopotties throughout the Snake River Landing property for the day’s activities. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

To access the overnight parking lot:

  • From Sunnyside Road, turn north on Pioneer Lane. (No access via Pancheri Dr., Utah Ave., or Snake River Parkway)
  • Follow Pioneer to Event Center Drive, Turn Right on to Event Center Drive.
  • Follow the signs directing you to enter the RV Overnight Area.
  • Please follow the directions of the Traffic and Parking Attendants there to assist you.

It is recommended that Overnight RV Parking area users give themselves plenty of time for arrival and parking. Overnight RV Parking reservation holders are encouraged to arrive on July 3rd between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, and to become familiar with the route to their parking destination prior to the 3rd.

Parking Area Rules:

  • No alcohol
  • Maximum two cars per RV site
  • Drive slowly
  • Watch for children
  • No fires or personal fireworks
  • No littering
  • Quiet time from 11:30 pm until 7:00 am
  • Keep pets on a leash
  • Clean up after pets
  • Depart by 12:00 pm on July 5th
  • Parking capacities are subject to change based on the size and type of event
  • Spots are filled on a first-come first-served basis
  • To ensure safe and efficient travel to your destination, please follow the directions of the Traffic and Parking Staff
  • Please note the parking for Overnight RV Parking Reservation Holders is a non-paved surface
