Walk to End Alzheimer’s

By Idaho Falls Magazine Staff

Walking is good for your health, but what if you could take it to the next level? On Sept. 18, the Alzheimer’s Association will be leading the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Snake River Landing. Participants will take a short walk around the area, allowing people of all ages to get involved and draw attention to a good cause.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the top fundraising event for Alzheimer’s in the world. The goal of the East Idaho event is to raise $100,000, an amount they are already making swift progress toward. Visit the association’s East Idaho branch of their website for progress updates.

The event will begin with a short ceremony at 11 a.m. Walking will commence at 11:30 a.m. and all are welcome to participate. Last minute walkers are encouraged to arrive at 10 a.m. to get signed up for the walk. You do not need to have raised $100 to walk in the event, but walkers who raise at least this amount will receive a T-shirt to commemorate their efforts.
